Drypoint printed in dark greenish black ink on cream laid paper, 1928. 200x300 mm; 7 7/8x11 7/8 inches, full margins. Edition of 110. Signed and inscribed "imp" in pencil, lower right. A brilliant, richly-inked impression with all the delicate vertical lines of rain printing clearly and darkly, with strong contrasts and no sign of wear. McCarron 75.According to McCarron, "The Thirty-fourth Street Armory at Park Avenue, now demolished, is shown in the print at right. Lewis printed some impressions of Rain on Hurray Hill in green ink that conveys a particularly strong sense of dampness."
