Ex-collection Germanisches National-Museum (Lugt 2809, verso). With thread margins outside the border line. A superb, dark and richly-inked impression with strong contrasts.
Lehrs cites only approximately 40 impressions. We locate only 9 impressions in North American public collections and have found only 1 other impression at auction in the past 20 years. Bartsch 54; Lehrs 59.
