Considered the foremost Australian pop artist, Sharpe also lived and worked in England in the 1960s, where he gained great recognition as the "king" of the U.K. poster scene. His rock and roll imagery includes psychedelic posters of Bob Dylan and Donovan and an array of covers and illustrations contributed to Oz magazine. Oz magazine began in Australia, and Sharp was the art director there from 1963-65. In 1966, he moved to London and began publishing the magazine there. High Art p. 119.
