Drypoint printed in dark brown on antique cream laid paper, circa 1895. 254x170 mm; 10x6 3/4 inches, full margins. Initialed in pencil, lower right. A superb, well-inked impression of this very scarce print, with selective wiping at the corners of the plate and velvety burr in the sitter's hair and on her sleeves.
We have found only one other impression at auction in the past 30 years. Breeskin 167.
