Harry Bartoia (1915-1978) was a designer and sculptor best known for his Bertoia Diamond Lounge Chair, which was manufactured by Knoll. A proponent of open space and air, Bertoia pioneered the use of bent steel as a design tool and material. His artworks of the 1950s are in numerous museum collections.
