Condition A-: minor restoration at edges.
American Railway Express came into being during the First World War, when the U.S. Government nationalized the country's shipping and freight industries. Although run by the government, the majority of the company was owned by American Express, whose president at the time was also the president of American Railway Express. Here, in the background, you can see another of the company's posters on the side of one of the railroad cars.
