From "Pictures, " Sendak's only portfolio of prints, New York: Harper & Row, 1971. Framed * Autograph Letter Signed. 1 page, 8vo. Both items Inscribed and Signed to his neighborhood dry cleaner whom he used while living in Greenwich Village in the early 1970s.

Additional Details

The letter apologizes for taking too long to pay his bill: "What can you expect from a wild thing?" A sketch of Wild Thing monter, Moise (in voice balloon): "At least you got a signed sketch out of it!" Written in green ink on his green stationery. Small 8vo, faded; marginal tape stains. [1973].
