A fashionably-clad woman is surprised by a strong gust of wind in this poster promoting a Spring fashion sale at a German department store. The refined Art Deco fashion and design in this poster is very much in the style of the French Gazette du Bon Ton illustrations by such masters as Georges Lepape and George Barbier. Mayer Lucas, best known for the design of a World War I loan poster, was recognized as the most renowned poster designer in Cologne. Affiche Art Deco p. 27.
