Album containing 50 photographs relating to Wilbur and Orville Wright, many by their chief photographer, William Preston Mayfield. With images of planes in flight and on the ground, different models of planes (including the Model "A," "B," "L," a Hydroplane, and others) as well as students and instructors at the Wright School, and Simms Station; with 5 printed by Mayfield from Orville Wright's negatives. Silver prints, 71/2x91/4 inches (19x23.5 cm.), many with Mayfield's handwritten captions and dates on mount recto; mounted one per page, recto/verso. Oblong 4to, leather, edgewear; photographs crisp and clean; with a "Mayfield Photos Inc." label on the front pastedown; ties. 1909-1917; printed early 1950s
