Second edition of a late 14th-century commentary on the Antidotarium ascribed to the Baghdad court physician Mesuë the Younger (d. 1015), a popular pharmacopoeia based on Muslim knowledge, "for centuries the standard text-book of pharmacy in the West" (Sarton). Included at the end is a brief tract on the medicinal use and preparation of barley water. The first edition was published less than a month before in Ferrara.
