Large engraved map on 6 sheets, joined, dissected and laid on linen, forming 40 sections, 1890x1290 mm; hand-colored in outline; laid into the original 1/2 roan case, a bit rubbed at extremties, lacking the ties; housed in a modern black cloth folding box. With a binder containing copies of some relevant documents pertaining to this edition of the map from the Pennsylvania State Archives in Harrisburg and a CD ROM with a copy Benjamin Tanner's February 17, 1825 letter listing the 6,447 "additions" and "improvements" he made on this 1825 map as compared with the original of 1822.
