Provenance: acquired directly from the artist; thence by desceent to the current owner, private collection, New York.

Another example of this collaboration is in the collection of the Library of Congress from the Robert Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop. According to it's website, "sculptor/printmaker Melvin Edwards and poet and performance artist Jayne Cortez have collaborated on many projects, such as the 1994 publication Fragments, which included photographs from Edwards' Lynch Fragment sculpture series....Edwards and Cortez worked at the Printmaking Workshop up through the 1990s."
