Iowa-born Enabnit was famous for his wartime 'Merlin girls' pin-ups. He was also a respected portrait painter and worked on several successful advertising campaigns for Coca Cola, V-8, Miller Beer and other products. Though an American, Life magazine called Enabnit "England's answer to George Petty" due to the popularity of his Merlin Girls amongst British G.I.'s. during WWII.
