Unique multi-media collage, with clusters of mini-photographs, paper cut-outs and a flourescent light element. Silver prints, various sizes from 1 1/4 inches square to 4 1/4x1 1/2 inches (4.4 cm. square to 10.8x3.8 cm.), overall size of masonite support 13x47 1/2 inches (33x120.7 cm.). 1974-1975

Metzker has a reputation as a virtuouso technican, having worked with composites, multiple-exposure, superimposition of negatives, juxtapositions of two images, and solarization. In this particular photo-object, he has also explored photography as a sculptural form, combining small strips of original photographs with architectonic elements that would cast shadows when light is reflected on the work.
