White was a top Broadway and Hollywood costume designer. The artist created the costumes for the original Broadway production of 'Oklahoma,' 'Carousel,' and 'Bye Bye Birdie.' In film, he worked on Around the World in 80 Days and The Greatest Show on Earth. For live shows, White designed outfits for Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and the Ice Capades.
