MINOR WHITE (1908-1976) Lake Almanor, California. Silver print, the image measuring 3¾x4⅝ inches (9.5x11.7 cm.), the folded card mount 6¼x7 inches (15.9x17.8 cm.) when closed, with White's signature "Minor" and date in pencil on mount recto, and his lengthy inscription inside in ink. 1947
The inscription reads: "Dear Bill & Folks / Splendid greetings for / a wild & wooly New Year. / Christmas, God bless it, / is wonderful because people / like you inhabit the earth. / Minor"
