New England?, circa 1863-1875

Additional Details

A very unusual piece that would suggest the period just after the war, or possibly as early as 1863, when the photographic images of ex-slaves of varying color were sold to raise funds for the Freedmen's Bureau schools, etc. The first of its kind we've seen.
