Additional Details

A scarce title and modernist masterpiece, "Paris" is a visual tour-de-force that relies on cinematic rhythms and sequencing to lyrically evoke the City of Light. Moï Ver's kinetic, seemingly multi-dimensional photocollages depict fashionably-dressed citizens alongside local laborers set against the background of city streets. Bereft of any text but Léger's brief introduction, its mis-en-scene conveys the exciting texture of sophisticated urban life in the pre-World War II years.
