A true curiosity. The process used for applying the map image to the glass is unclear. It may be some type of reverse painting technique. It is brightly colored and appears to have been created from 2 plates(?), as there is a central vertical line similar to the usual centerfold on double-page maps. The verso of the glass is a patchwork of various applied colors.
