Moneta Sleet, Jr. is famous for his 1969 Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph, Deep Sorrow, the somber portrayal of Coretta Scott King at the funeral of her husband, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sleet became the first African American to win the Pulitzer Prize for photography.
