first separate edition of a collection of poems to Julie d'Angennes, the great love of Montausier's life. He presented it to her in 1641 in the form of an extravagant calligraphic manuscript by Nicolas Jarry with floral paintings by Nicolas Robert. The text first appeared in print in the 1729 biography of Montausier by Nicolas Le Petit.
