Onderdonk edition (New York, 1848), also known by only a few copies. A facsimile of the present edition was published by the New York Public Library in 1967 and records thus: "This is a happy re-creation of the 1849 illustrated edition of which only two copies are known to exist. That from which this facsimile was reproduced remains behind locked doors in New York's Fifth Avenue Library." No other examples of this edition located in ABPC or Rare Book Hub.
