Autograph Letter Signed, "Marianne," to Hildegarde Watson, recalling a lecture in Chicago where she remarked that certain quotes from literary figures including Ezra Pound express sentiments that "we have thought but not said quite so well," and describing her reactions to a watercolor drawing and to traveling through Rochester. With a 1 1/2 page Postscript Signed, "M.," recounting having been warned in New Haven Station to remove her pearl earrings. 5 1/2 pages, 8vo, personal stationery; horizontal fold. The second, a printed card whose greeting has been partly crossed out resulting in the Inscription, "For this and every other 'Season,' Greetings dear Hildegarde & Silbey and wishes for a Happy New Year, Marianne, with love. December 21, 1959." With the original envelope. The third, an Inscription on a small card, "My signature for Professor D.P. Patnaik, University of Louisville Kentucky, Marianne Moore, with best wishes, August 11, 1966."
