Large folding pocket map, approximately 645x635 mm; hand-colored in outline; many separations at folds with a few tape repairs; with a contemporary inscription on the map in red ink identifying the U. S. Military Telegraph from Santa Fe to Fort Bayard with a notation that the line was completed on 1 April 1876; ex-library, with inked stamps on verso; folds into publisher's gilt-lettered cloth case, front cover detached, with the publisher's label on the front pastedown listing prices, contemporary presentation inscription on the front pastedown "To Mr. John MacMullan by Lieut.
