A dramatic image of a locomotive with studied perspective that seems to reflect a familiarity with Cassandre's Nord Express, yet far more abstract and colorful than the classic French Machine-Age image. Moy-Thomas designed one other known poster, for Britain's GWR. Like this image, it also featured a bold rendering of a locomotive, however in a far more realistic style. Here the mighty engine is pulling cars that fade into the distance, a lone horseman and his mount serve to put the locomotive into perspective, small even in comparison to the smoke from the train's engine and the steam from her brakes.
