Madonna.
Lithograph, 25x17 inches; matted and framed. Signed by Hirschfeld and numbered 61/175 in pencil, lower margin.
"I'ts hard to describe Madonna and its equally hard to describe this drawing. It's a kind of combined exercise in sex and movement. The weird thing that strikes me now is that she appears to be wearing the same outfit as Barbra Streisand in the drawing with Elvis and the boys earlier. One is an ugly duckling clown, the other a sexually charged Amazon. Maybe it's those Joan Crawford eyebrows that give Madonna her fierceness." HOL/334.
