Two large quarto manuscripts on paper, each consisting of approximately 150 pages; written in single columns in brown ink, written in a consistent scribal hand in Latin, with numerous illustrations, large capitals, headings, and other attractive embellishments; each dated on verso of final leaf; bound in uniform full contemporary Italian parchment over boards; 10 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.

Topics discussed and illustrated include contributions of Descartes (likely by way of LeGrand), Newton, Torricelli; with diagrams of the models of the solar system as posited by Ptolemy, Copernicus, and Brahe.
