Additional Details

The text of this rare imprint in the "Rabbi Samuel" tradition began life as an Arabic anti-Jewish work, in which the author converts from Judaism to Islam. In the Latin translation, as seen here, Samuel is instead inspired to convert to Christianity. This version, edited by Francesco Grifoni, first appeared with an identical imprint in 1693. Worldcat shows only two copies each of edition (1693 and 1706) worldwide.
