Mercury Orbit Chart MOC-6, for the Mercury Atlas 9 mission. Plots all 22 earth orbits of the MA-9, "Faith 7" mission with full 360 degree longitudinal coverage, plus an overlap of 30 degrees. Latitude coverage is from 45 degrees north and south from the equator. Circular plots represent the ground communication coverage areas. Approximately 10.5x34 inches, color. Inscribed and signed by Gordon Cooper along the upper white border with personal reflections from the mission: "Wow, zero to over 17,500 mph in 5 minutes flat! The length of my mission allowed me to make the best orbital photographs in the Mercury Program. And with all my system failures by the end of the mission, I was looking at the best pilot I ever saw during re-entry in the reflection of my control panel instruments! Gordon Cooper." And at the bottom center border with: "The 22 orbits of Faith 7 - Gordon Cooper." He has added: "Launch, 15 May 63, Splashdown at 22-1, 16 May 63" at the Cape Canaveral area on the chart.
