The historical precursor to today's EgyptAir, Misr-Airwork was a joint venture funded largely by the Misr Bank (Misr is the Egyptian word for Egypt) working in conjunction with British partners. The company was founded in 1931 and had their first flight in 1933. Here a Havilland DH.84 Dragon casts its shadow as it flies across Egypt. The otherwise unknown Strekalovsky designed at least two posters for the company, the other featuring a plane flying over the pyramids. Very rare. Fly Now p. 120.
