Additional Details

"It hurts one to note from your account of the situation that you are completely out of hay. Please take the necessary steps to procure some. I also note that you do not have any flour. Perhaps you might consider it wise to convert one third of your wheat into flour. You also have very little oil and very little salted meat. Grain without oil does not offer sufficient nourishment for one to be able to do without meat. Do you believe that in the event of a siege you might be able to draw a number of cattle from the surrounding countryside? That would be a real resource."
