This rare little broadside announces a celebration and fund-raising event that included two very hot rock 'n roll bands as well as an appearance by James Baldwin---an unlikely combo, but not really for that era. Newton was serving time for the alleged shooting of a police officer. Country Joe's Viet Nam song became a rallying cry in the anti-war movement.
