Situated in Vietnam's central highlands, Ban Me Thout is considered the ideal spot to begin trekking to ethnic villages, such as the Rhade and the Jarai groups. It was also the site of the last battle of the Vietnam war between the North Vietnamese army and the south Vietnamese troops. Here, a hunter in a tan and red loin cloth and his wife in blue, red and black are watching over the field outside their home where wild tigers, deer and elephants roam; lettering in red and blue.
