Additional Details

Guides to the sacraments and the Mass for priests, first published circa 1475 and in 1499, respectively. Nicolaus de Blony was a 15th-century Polish theological author and chaplain to the Bishop of Poznan; Rodrigo Fernández de Santaella (1444-1509) was a Spanish cleric who founded the Colegio de Santa María de Jesús, the predecessor of the University of Seville. The editions offered here are among the earliest books from the press of Arnao Guillén de Brocar, the first printer in Logroño. Previously the prototypographer of Pamplona, he later moved to Alcalá de Henares, where he printed the Complutensian Polyglot. Norton 369, 370; Palau 229112, 89735 note (not having seen a copy, citing Gallardo).
