In the 1940s and 50s a fair amount of Lockheed print advertising was not tied to any particular airline, and their promotions were simply to tout their own aircraft. This image also appeared as a magazine ad in 1946, with text reading "Choose Constellation flights to other world capitals and within the United States. Greater Speed - fastest transport in service. Greater Comfort - with the highflying smoothness of the exclusive Normalair cabin. Greater Safety - more surplus power than any other transport . . . Make certain your ticket reads Constellation there is only one leader. The image is of London's iconic Big Ben Clock Tower seen behind the Chariots of Boadicea statue on the western end of the Westminster Bridge.
