Condition B+: repaired tears and overpainting at edges, some affecting image; creases in margins and image and along horizontal fold in text; small loss in upper left corner; water staining in lower left corner. Paper. Framed. The T.S.S. [Turbine Steam Ship] Argyle was launched along with her sister ships Duke of Lancaster and Duke of Rothesay in 1928. "Besides the seaside attractions [of Lancashire], there is a working side. The harbour town of Heysham, just to the south, sees regular ferry services to Ireland and the Isle of Man" (Furness vol. 6, p. 65).
