"There is a beauty which is all of bloom, / Of coloured brightness, and smooth outlined youth: -- / Another, which the Spirit's rays illume, / 'Beauty of Holiness' . . . ." This poem was published in Sonia Keppel's biography of Elizabeth Vassall, The Sovereign Lady, London, 1974. In 1842, the Holland House was a country house in Kensington, London, belonging to the family of the sister ("Miss Fox") of Henry Vassall-Fox, 3rd Baron Holland (1773-1840).
