NOÉ LEGRAND (1875-1915)

LA CRITIQUE. 1898.

29 1/2x20 1/2 inches, 75x52 cm. Eug. Marx, Paris.
Condition A- / B+: expertly-repaired tears at edges; restoration along horizontal fold; slight foxing in image.

La Critique, founded in 1895, was a leading avant-garde magazine that covered politics, theatre, music and the wider art scene in Paris. The posters used to advertise the various issues were primarily one color and feature the work of such artists as Misti, Jossot, Valtat, Delabre and others. This is a version without the lower text announcing the Almanach edition of La Critique.
