Woodcut title, double-page maps of the world and northern Europe, and over 1800 woodcut city views, portraits, and miscellaneous illustrations, including repeats. 326 leaves, with the 6-leaf section De Sarmacia (including final blank) bound between leaves 266 and 267. Gothic type. Rubrication on preliminaries and somewhat later decorated initial C in colors and gold on leaf 1r. Folio, 424x285 mm, 19th-century brown morocco by Chatelin, covers and spine compartments stamped in black to panel design, front joint rubbed and starting at bottom; old inscriptions on title and verso of last leaf, insignificant wormholes through opening leaves, title and approximately 30 other leaves discreetly reinforced in inner margins, tear across leaf 80 repaired without text or image loss, minor repair in blank lower margin of leaf 99 not affecting views of Vienna or Nuremberg, stains across leaves 225-26 (double-page view of Munich), scattered and mostly marginal stains and foxing elsewhere, still an attractive copy overall; cloth slipcase.
