Additional Details

13 April 1925: ". . . I am very sorry to waste your time with such a long letter, but I did not want to hide that your conditions [for renting your land] have given me the impression that I am not a desirable colonist in Valle del Yaqui. . . ."
22 May 1925: ". . . In order to clarify things, allow me to remind you that the extra block that you agreed to rent to me, just like block C-4 which I have been referring to, did not fall under the irrigation system established by me, and it would cost a great deal to install a special water pumping plant for those two blocks, and given their higher altitude, the cost has to be logically much more. . . ."
22 July 1925: ". . . [W]e must carry out certain permanent constructions [a freight station] that can only be legally done on private property, and since the lands to the south of the territory marked off for the population of Cajeme are your property, I urge you to sell me these three hectares in order to quickly proceed with the indicated projects. . . ."
27 March 1928: ". . . [The words in my previous letter] were an honest expression of my feelings and thoughts on the conception of the great renown that the whole world offers the superior spirit of that young hero of North America [Charles Lindbergh]. . . ."
