Israeli artist Ori Hofmekler has had his illustrations and caricatures published in such prominent periodicals as the New York Times, The New Republic and Time. Mostly, he is recognized for his monthly contributions to Penthouse, which began appearing in 1983 and ran for seventeen years. It was the perfect forum for his provocative and outrageous caricatures. Whether it was Michael Dukakis, George Bush, Jesse Helms or Ronald Reagan, Hofmekler clearly knew how to make a bold statement and spark controversy with his often seditious, gleefully perverse images.
