Sketchbook with approximately 50 pencil drawings.

Circa 1895-1900. Approximately 200x165 mm; 8x6 1/2 inches (sheets). Several with additions in red pencil. Many annotated and dated in pencil.

Rouland (1871-1945) used part of the sketchbook to record travels in Italy and France during the late 1890s. There are studies of Rome and Paris, as well as Peconic, Long Island, where Orlando and his wife, New York socialite Minnie Dwight, spent many of their summers.
