The 1903 Industry and Crafts Exhibition was the first in a line of prominent exhibitions held in Helsingborg. In conjunction with the exhibition, there was a separate Swedish art exhibition taking place, as well as the introduction of the city's first tramway line. Although the poster is only signed with the initials OB, an account of the exhibition, published in 1904, lists the exhibition poster as having been designed by Björck. Björck was a prominent Swedish painter and a professor at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts.
