Founded in 1937, when Palestine was still under British mandate, Palestine Air was the second oldest carrier in the Middle East. Her initial fleet consisted of only two aircraft, each a Short S.16 Scion 2, one of which is depicted here. The company ceased operations in 1940 and its planes were taken over by the Royal Airforce.
