Baumberger was one of the most versatile and prolific Swiss graphic designers, with well over 200 designs to his credit. His posters switched nimbly between minimal typographic creations, abstract and realistic landscapes, near-photographic representation of objects (Neue Sachlichkeit), and concise Art Deco designs. His versatility enabled him to transform and adapt his stylistic approach, be it a fluid, free style, or geometrically Art Deco, to advertise a product, event or location.
