This is an angler's delight and an ichthyologist's dream, in which four freshwater fish that can be pursued in the Danube basin are depicted in graphic realism. From top to bottom they are the trout, pike, carp and Sheatfish (or catfish). The image is as much a fish-spotter's guide as a lure to fisherman. Little is known about the artist, who also designed a poster featuring some of Romania's most beautiful birds. This is the French version.
