Etching printed in dark brownish black on cream laid Montval paper, 1934. 235x296 mm; 9 1/4x11 5/8 inches, full margins. One of only a few impressions on this paper (with either a Picasso or Vollard watermark) before steel-facing of the plate and before the unsigned edition of 55 from the steel-faced plate. Signed, dedicated "pour Frélaut" and dated "Paris le 27 April 1942" in pencil, lower margin. A superb impression of this extremely scarce, early print.
