Colin was never one to turn down a commission, and as a mainstay of the Parisian poster design community he was frequently asked to help make posters for small events and balls. He was always allowed to follow his own inspiration as long as he stayed within the production's budget. Here, he evokes a dancer, using just three colors and the white of the paper. While it may not thoroughly represent the colorful world of the Ballets Russes, it is a stylish creation, reminiscent of a series of posters he designed for Katherine Dunham in the late 1940s.
