According to Johnson, some 300 impressions were printed in black and approximately 200 impressions were printed in gray, all on Arches Ingres laid paper. There were additionally, like the current print, an unknown number of impressions printed on imitation Japan paper. We have identified only several other impressions on imitation Japan paper, as opposed to dozens of impressions on laid paper, at auction over the past 20 years. Cherpin 12.
