Little biographical information exists about Rieth, a German artist and illustrator, who designed posters for the London Underground Group between 1913 and 1916. His simple, yet captivating graphic style, with landscapes rendered from a low vantage point, is reminsicent of works from the same period by Edward McKnight Kauffer and Fred Taylor. rare.
